Description
The only excitement Shannon Parker expects while on summer vacation is a little shopping. But when an antique vase calls to her, she finds herself transported to Partholon, where she's treated like a goddess. A very temperamental goddess…
Somehow Shannon has stepped into another's role as the Goddess Incarnate of Epona. And while there's an upside—what woman doesn't like lots of pampering?—it also comes with a ritual marriage to a centaur and threats against her new people. Oh, and everyone disliking her because they think she's her double.
Somehow Shannon needs to figure out how to get back to Oklahoma without being killed, married to a horse or losing her mind….

Review
This was my first P. C. Cast experience, and I loved it. In Devine by Mistake P. C. Cast creates a rich and wondrous world that you want to step into and never leave, and in a way that is what Shannon Parker does.
Shannon Parker is a 35 year old teacher, who had a normal life and liked it as it was. (Not your normal heroin.) She was going home from an estate sale when she was sucked into the world of Partholon. Shannon is amazing! She handles everything with a side of snark, and sarcasm. (just as any girl should) Being thrown into her new role as High Priestess of Epona Shannon does the best she can, Even when faced with the fact that she will be marrying a centaur.
Clanfinton, is High Shaman of the centaurs. For generations every High Shaman, and High Priestess have joined as husband and wife. I absolutely loved Clanfinton’s character, not to mention the fact that he was steaming HOT!! I know what your thinking half man/ half horse, how is this going to work out? Well Clanfinton can shift into human form but only for a certain activity (wink).
Once I started this one I couldn’t put it down. The love story between Shannon and Canfinton was wonderful. The love story between them is a simple one. But it needs to be that way due to all the other action that is going on. I don’t want to give to much away, but Partholon is under threats from an enemy, and it will take the entire kingdom to defeat it. I have so enjoyed this book and will be revisiting the world of Partholon again and again.
Happy Reading,
Rebecca
5 moons: I absolutely loved it, and will be looking into everything this author writes.
I'm going to have to check out this book. My only P.C. Cast experience was The House of Night Series, which I didn't care for too much. This series sounds pretty cool, thanks for the great review!
