This Weeks Question:
Define what characteristics your favorite books share. Do they all have a kickass heroine or is the hot love interest the Alpha Male?
I do love the Alpha Male, so long as they don’t go too alpha. I also love a good kickass heroine but I just went through my list of books I have reviewed and a lot of my characters that I love have pleasant differences. So I guess for me it’s not just about character it is the whole package. I want each book to be it’s own, you know… an awesome page turner that I can’t forget.
Happy Hopping,
That rings true to me too. The characters doesn't matter, but great storyline does.

Uniqueness is a valuable quality in books. Reading to Penguins
ReplyDeleteHopping through. There's a fine line between alpha and too alpha, I agree. But a little alpha is good.

I like the alpha male at times, yet if he's too alpha male and acts all overbearing then I start to dislike him a bit. But if he's meant to be the love interest I do grow to like him a bit, especially if the heroine doesn't give in to him!

Alpha males and awesome heroines do make books better. But, they're not a requirement for me. I love a good fantasy and as long as I can connect with the characters, then I'm usually pretty happy!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great answer I agree with you. You"re right too alpha is a little too much.
