I am very excited to have Kate from Escape Publishing with us today!
Well, even if it's not, everyone's going to be thinking sexy thoughts by the time I finish telling you about what I'm here to tell you about: the brand-spanking new Escape Publishing and our five fantastic launch titles.
Escape Publishing is the digital-first arm of Harlequin Australia, and our aim is to focus on antipodean voices, bringing Australian and New Zealand stories to a global market. Because we're digital-first, we have a lot more freedom than traditional publishers, so we're looking to take some risks, cater to some niche, and set some trends. All our books are published DRM and geographic-restrictions free, at competitive prices, and through all the biggies (amazon, iTunes, kobo, etc) and smaller e-book retailers. You can find out everything you need to know on our website, www. escapepublishing.com.au, including our various social media channels.
This last Wednesday we threw ourselves a big party and launched our five first titles, and I'm so excited to tell you about them. I got to read them months ago, and I've had to keep quiet for ages. Just quietly? This has not been an easy task for me.
Also – and possibly most importantly – they're all on sale at launch prices at the moment: Chaos Born, Christmas Wishes, Grease Monkey Jive and In Safe Hands are all at $0.99 each, while Chains of Revenge is free for a very limited time only.
Chains of Revenge – Keziah Hill: an erotic fantasy novella about a slave in sexual bondage who rises to become a Warlord – and take his revenge on the woman who broke his heart.
Chaos Born – Rebekah Turner: an urban fantasy debut about a mercenary with a secret so dark even she doesn't know about it – but secrets are meant to be revealed. This novel introduces the gaslit world of the Applecross, its many layers, characters, and the militant religious order that seeks to control it all.
Christmas Wishes – Rhian Cahill: a steamy and sweet holiday story about best friends realising that all they really want for Christmas is each other!
Grease Monkey Jive – Ainslie Paton: a lovely, meaty, get-your-teeth-in, contemporary romance about a ballroom dance teacher, a mechanic, a dance competition, $50 000, friendships, family, and the power of a little sizzle.
In Safe Hands – Lee Christine: a Sydney-set, sophisticated romantic suspense novel about a highly successful lawyer threatened by a youthful indiscretion and the ex-SAS Commander that she recruits to help her.
So check us out, give us a try, and definitely let me know what you think of our titles – you can find our website here: www.escapepublishing.com.au with all our contact details.
Thanks so much for having me come and visit, and I look forward to hearing from you!
