Weddings are hell…

After a month of planning not one, but two, demonic weddings, all Faith Bettincourt—the youngest Crown Princess of Hell—wants is to spend some quality time with her angelic boyfriend, Matt. But when a ghost from Matt’s past walks through Faith’s apartment door, her preoccupation with the weddings from Hell is all that’s keeping her from turning his ex, in all her devious angelic glory, into a down throw pillow.

Which is about when Matt’s zealous mother declares war on Faith’s family.

Now Faith will stop at nothing to stop the craziness and make sure the impending nuptials go off without a hitch. All she’s got to do is rescue one of the grooms and go up against an army of so-called do-gooders, and everything will go back to normal. Or as normal as it can be where the Devil's spawn is concerned. With any luck, she might just be able to resuscitate her love life while she's at it.

Review

The same charm and humor that had me loving Luck of the Devil, the first book in the Speak of the Devil series, had me laughing right along with Devil May Care. This paranormal comedy is so much fun to read.

The Family dynamic is what really makes me connect with this series. If you where to take away all the paranormal aspects it could be my own family I was reading about. Everyone gets on each others nerves from time to time, if one person knows a secret then the entire family knows, someone always has a snarky comeback for you, and if you are really in trouble everyone around you will drop what they are doing to support and help you. I love that Eimer gets the relationships between these characters so real while using comedy to keep the story feeling light even in tense situations.

Faith, the narrator of the story is such an easy character to root for. As the Devil’s youngest daughter she can do some real damage and have a lot of fun doing said damage, but Faith is anything but evil. Faith is a pediatric nurse who not only cares for her patients but also always does what she can to care for her family and friends as well. Faith does her best to use her two greatest character traits snark and sarcasm to get through any tough situation, and when you are the daughter of the Devil you tend to land yourself in a lot of sticky situations.

If you do plan on reading this series (You should it’s super fun.) read it in order. Some of the loose ends that were left in Luck of the Devil were double knotted in Devil May Care, but I am happy that this story is not over yet. I am hoping that I won’t have to wait an entire year for the next book after that ending… I really want Matt and Faith to eventually get an HEA, you know after Eimer has finished torturing them.

Happy Reading,
