Book Shop Stop #2

Hi everyone! A little over a week ago I did a post on an awesome independent bookstore I found while on vacation, Mermaid Books. After I wrote my post, I realized I have never posted about some of the book stores in my area…

The Book Exchange is a great used bookstore that has books in about every genre.

The Book Exchange is literally covered floor to ceiling, row after row in books. Books are organized by genre, then by alphabetical author name.

I didn’t bring any books to exchange while visiting this time but I have exchanged books there before. The staff are very helpful and easy to work with.

I did find a couple of books that have been on my to read list for a while, so I had to buy them.

I have had a lot of people recommend A Brush of Darkness. The author Christine Feehan has been an I–NEED-TO-READ-THIS-AUTHOR for a long time. These copies are in awesome shape.

The Book Exchange is located at 97 Phil Watson RD, Anderson SC
Open Monday through Saturday 10am to 5pm
They are closed Sunday
They don’t have a phone or website, but if you are in the neighborhood you should stop by this awesome bookstore!

Do you know of any amazing bookstores I don’t know about? If they have a website let me know about it in the comments:) I live in the upstate of SC, so if you know of any bookstore gems in my neck of the woods tell me about them and I will do my best to give them a visit. I will be posting my bookstore adventures on Sundays:)

Happy reading,
Signature

  2. I love that you took pictures. I hope you continue with that. I only have two used book stores in my area and even though they have lots of books I don't usually find anything amazing. I'm also saddened by how much they both charge for USED books. Sheesh!

  3. Man , I go to Anderson all the time and I didn't know that was there. Is it near Clemson Blvd or the other side ? Thanks for showing that I cannot wait to check it out. I know our library in Hartwell, has a small bookstore in the basement for used books.

    1. Yes, this is right off Clemson Blvd. On the right as you come into Anderson. Next week will be a different independent book shop from Anderson. Email me of your coming to town soon and I'll tell you were it is too:)

Christine Feehan is one of my favourite authors, so I hope you will enjoy The Lair of the Lion. :)

  8. I live in Anderson and love the Book Exchange. Have you tried McDowell's Book Emporium? They have a lot of really neat books. Not a lot of the same genre as Christine Freehand, but I found a gorgeous copy of all of Poe's tales and poems for $8.
