Have you ever bought a book BECAUSE of a bad review?


This is hilarious because it just happened two weeks ago.

Fifty Shades of Grey (Fifty Shades, #1)

I was looking through books that would be coming out soon and realized Fifty Shades of Grey was going to be out in paperback soon. I had heard a lot of blogger buzz about the book but had not really read reviews for the book. Once on Goodreads I was amazed at what some of the negative reviewers had said about the book, so I had to find out for myself immediately how it was. I went right to Amazon and bought Fifty Shades of Grey. When I finished that I had to know what happened next, I ended up buying the series and enjoying it. This series may not be for everyone, but I liked it.

    I'm glad you disregarded the negative reviews and ended up liking the books! Every book will have mixed opinions and some people might find this book too graphic, others might find it funny, others might love it! All personal preference!

    Yes I want to form my own opinion about a book. When there are lots of bad reviews it makes me want it more.

    Haha that's crazy, I've been avoiding this book like the plague because of all the negative publicity!! Either way, I'm glad you ended up enjoying it!!

    I disregard negative reviews as well when I feel like I know I want to read a book. It's usually when I am skeptical about reads and read too many bad reviews that I decide not to read a book.

    Glad you enjoyed this series Rebecca .. I've read a lot of negative reviews on this book so I'm a bit reluctant to pick up a copy :) !!

    Perfect example. I will probably read this one this month or so, too. I mean.. I think it's horrible that some reviews called people who enjoyed the book "Psychos" and it makes me want to know why the heck they are so mad about the series.
