Review

Y’all know Nalini Singh is in my top five of authors I LOVE. I literally drop whatever I am reading when a new book comes out! Let me just go ahead and say there may be spoilers all in this. This far into a series it is so hard to not have spoilers in your reviews. If you have not read the Psy-Changeling series GO pick up a copy of Slave to Sensation NOW. This series goes so fast you will be caught up in no time. This is also a series that builds so you can’t start out of order.

Now onto what I thought of the anthology Wild Invitation…

Beat of Temptation

I have always loved Tamsyn’s character. As the Dark River healer Tamsyn has always been a prominent figure throughout this series. If you have ever wondered about Tamsyn’s past with her mate Nate you will enjoy Beat of Temptation.

I had actually read Beat of Temptation before but I didn’t get bored at all reading this a second time. Tamsyn and Nate found that they are meant to be mates when Tamsyn is still a bit young. Nate only wants the best for her so he does everything in his power to protect Tamsyn from the matting bond until she is old enough to accept what their commitment will mean. What shines through in this story is Tamsyn’s strength. Even when Nate puts her through the wringer with his overprotectiveness Tamsyn sticks to her guns even when it’s hard.

Stroke of Enticement

This was actually my favorite novella in this anthology. Stroke of Enticement is the sweet story of Zach and Annie. Zack is a sexy Dark River cat and Annie is a human school teacher. The unlikely pair meet after Zack’s nephew acts out in Annie’s class. I wont give more away then that but I do hope to see more of these characters in future books.

Declaration of Courtship

Before reading Grace and Cooper’s story in Declaration of Courtship I never gave much thought to how hard it would be for an extremely dominant and incredibly submissive to be mated, or at least how they would begin their relationship. It was so interesting to read how Nalini had both characters work so hard to jump the hurdles of their differences to come to a common ground and be together.

Texture of Intimacy

I have to tell you this is the novella I was most excited about reading. I have wanted more of  Lara and Walker since Kiss of Snow. I was not disappointed with this glimpse of how their life is going since becoming mated. Do I still want more… Um, yeah! But, that is the awesome thing about this series you always want more of these characters and thankfully we are continuing to get more, even if in little glimpses.

Happy reading,
